Since Bill was the only traveler, and, tainted by the fact that his primary mission was to see Marla, any sightseeing and exploring in or around Denver was totally secondary. Where we stayed

marlaIt was only a month until our Disney World trip and Caribbean cruise, and we were seeing how our relationship was progressing before we committed to those trips.  We decided that Bill should come to Denver for a long weekend.  My youngest daughter Whitney and her husband Carlos were staying with me until the house they were building was completed.  My condo building has a guest room on the main level, and that’s where Bill was going to stay.  It was also a perfect arrangement, because our gossiping manager (no longer with us) wouldn’t have too much to talk about.  I was anxious for my daughter and her husband to meet Bill.

billMarla has a two bedroom condo, and, being that daughter Whitney and her husband Carlos were living with her while their house was being built, we opted for a politically correct arrangement of me staying in the condo’s guest quarters, four floors below. Fortunately, for me, Marla did tuck me in at night! This arrangement worked out quite well as I was able to spend a nice amount of casual time with Carlos and Whitney. Also, since Whitney was seven months pregnant, Marla and I were able to go solo on our day trips and evening excursions. I’m sure too, assessing my appropriateness as a suitor was much easier when I was out of earshot! I really enjoyed Whitney and Carlos and felt like they approved of us dating, albeit long distance. And little did I know that I was visiting the residence that was to become my future home!
